Heelan senior Katey Namanny has been named Heelan Rotary Student of the Month. The daughter of Steve and Chris Namanny, Katey is Student Council President, is on the Gold Honor Roll, and is ranked in the top 10 of her class.
She is a member of Miracle Makers and National Honor Society and has been a student of the year in social studies. A junior mentor she has been the LifeServe blood drive organizer and has been on the executive council of the Mayor’s Youth Commission.
Heelan will have another Rotary Student of the Month this school year. The two will then be considered with students from other local schools to be a Rotary Student of the Year.
