Parent Organization

The Sacred Heart’s Parent Teacher Organization shares communication between school and home, and sponsors events that create a close school family. In addition, they raise funds to support classroom education.  Parent involvement is essential to student success.

Events and Activities Sponsored by PTO
- First Friday Teacher Appreciation Event 
- Sunshine Cart – monthly snack cart for Teachers
- Teacher Conference Meals (Fall and Spring)
- Book Fair
- Christmas/Spring Concert VIP Parking/Bake Sale 
- Catholic Schools Week Pizza Bingo Family Night 


- Annual Fundraiser – Fun Run or Read-A-Thon

- Teacher Appreciation Week – a celebration the first week in May with a different theme to “Thank” our teachers each day.
- Field Day/Family Picnic in Spring
 
*The Sacred Heart PTO has used the funds raised through our annual fundraiser to purchase items for the schools and teachers that fall outside of the normal school budget. Most recently, we were able to purchase new playground equipment. Going forward, monies raised will be used towards our building expansion. 

Other fundraising efforts:
- Hy-Vee School Bucks Program – collect eligible receipts from a Sioux City/So. Sioux City Hy-Vee and dated August 1 – April 24
