Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools is celebrating its homecoming this week, with events such as Service Day coming up on Thursday.
The homecoming court of 10 seniors is set, and the king and queen will be announced Friday at the 10:30 a.m. assembly at O’Gorman Fieldhouse. There will be a short parade following.
The homecoming king attendants are as follows, with parents’ names in parentheses: James Cleary (Barbara & Francis); Drew Dickes (Laurie & Mark); Isaiah Favors (Myrah & Jerry); Elias Flanery (Juliane & John) and Jack Stevens (Mindy & John).
The homecoming queen attendants are: Marygrace Fairchild (Kathryn & Forde); Karley Koob (Tara & Jamie); Ava Moravek (Ashley & Tony); Brooklyn Stanley (Jane & Craig) and Julie Verzal (Stacey & Jeff).
The homecoming theme this week is Hollywood related, as students’ theme days were based off of movies such as “Harry Potter,” “Mean Girls,” and “The Sandlot.”
Heelan will close out the week with the football game against Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley at 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Field. The 2013 state championship team will be honored during the game.
