I am excited about our milestone year at Bishop Heelan. I have served our schools as a teacher, coach, assistant activities director, dean of students, and now as principal; and I look forward to a new era with the opening of the new Heelan classroom addition.
Academics
Academically, I am proud to continue the strong tradition at Bishop Heelan. Our academic program addresses the individual learning needs of each student while taxing them to achieve beyond local, state, and national averages.
Faith Formation
At Bishop Heelan we strive to make our Catholic faith a central part of the educational day while working to develop the mind, body, and spirit of the whole child. We regularly celebrate mass as a school community while inspiring a life of service. We offer academic courses that tackle moral issues and ethical dilemmas while offering instruction on the life and teachings of our savior Jesus Christ. High School Activities
With our full range of sports, activities and clubs, our students cannot help but to get involved. Bishop Heelan offers a variety of activities — from varsity football and volleyball — to theater, show choir, coding club and Miracle Makers. We truly believe that we offer something for everyone.
Finally I am celebrating 20 years with Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools because of the extended network of supporters that makes it such a special place. While bricks and mortar create aesthetics that enhance other schools, Heelan is driven by the dedication of our faculty and staff, caring parents, involved alumni and community supporters and friends. It is the merging of these groups that allows us to offer a welcoming and challenging setting that nurtures our students to advance intellectually and personally, grow in their faith, and become responsible and successful adults.
